Well, I wanted an explanation and a resolution for Derwin and I got them :) I did get a better understanding of why Derwin was the way he was, not so much as to why Dre’Kariston put up with it for 600 years, but overall I am happy with the resolution and I hope we might see Derwin in the future, in a happy place.Somerly was a bit annoying in the beginning, but that is coming only from me knowing the truth about his father, truth he pretty much has been blind to. To be honest, I am much, much more pissed at the Duke, than Somerly. While the young one does have an excuse, the whole "I am so devoted and honest that I am accepting crap for me and all other dragons", doesn't really fly with me. Yes, he and his wife finally joined "our" side, but I think everybody has been way too easy on them; the only reason they left was that the king wanted to sell their son. If the target would've been somebody else, they would've done the same thing they did for years, including with the King's middle son: absolutely nothing.My complaining aside, I LOVED the book, I ADORE the entire series, and I am looking forward to the next 10 books
